Escuelas Promotoras: Lasallian foundations and Misean Cara for Socio-Emotional Health in Latin America.

The Lasallian foundations in Latin America, partners in our network, have launched a new project with the support of Misean Cara.
Fundación La Salle Argentina, along with Fundación La Salle Paraguay and the participation of the Tarpusunchis Association from Peru, have initiated this project with the aim of promoting and safeguarding the human right to socio-emotional health, especially in the post-pandemic context, within the fields of health and education.
The project, called Escuelas Promotoras, seeks to provide strategies for strengthening and supporting emotional well-being in educational settings in vulnerable areas of Argentina, Peru, and Paraguay. The beneficiaries include teachers and school administrators, children, adolescents and their families, school guidance staff, and the educational community as a whole.

This initiative stems from the recognition that emotional well-being is a critical element throughout life stages, impacting access to quality education, job stability, fulfillment of personal and family commitments, and active community participation..

The main objectives of the project are to:

– Raise awareness and visibility about the socio-emotional issues impacting the educational community,
– Train our community in conflict resolution, effective and empathetic communication, critical thinking, and teamwork,
– Develop intervention tools to consolidate methods and resources for socio-emotional support.

Thanks to projects like this, we continue to support the Lasallian community, providing assistance to the most vulnerable and promoting the socio-emotional well-being of all.
