SUCCESS
The SUCCESS project is an initiative aimed at modernizing African Vocational Education and Training (VET) institutions by strengthening their partnerships with enterprises. It focuses on aligning education and knowledge transfer with market needs to improve student employability.
Furthermore, the project seeks to enhance international cooperation and networking at both regional and international levels while fostering public-private dialogue between VET institutions and the private sector.
Over the course of the project, specific objectives include:
- Increasing youth employability in five African countries (Rwanda, Kenya, Burkina Faso, Madagascar, and Cameroon) by developing a VET-enterprise cooperation framework aligned with digital-driven and green transformation.
- Developing skills and competencies tailored to labor market needs through new VET modules in Renewable Energy and green skills. These modules will be designed based on digital and green industry requirements and incorporated into existing educational programs.
- Strengthening international and regional collaboration by establishing a VET schools-enterprise network and facilitating the transfer of best practices within African VET institutions, enterprises, and European organizations.
- Enhancing VET accessibility and attractiveness for girls by integrating gender-inclusive methodologies into VET programs and practices.
To achieve these goals, the project will implement the following activities:
- Exploring VET-enterprise cooperation models in the EU and Africa.
- Creating and implementing a VET-enterprise cooperation framework in the participating African countries.
- Developing new training modules to equip students with skills required by the local labor market in renewable energy and green sectors.
- Establishing career offices within each African VET partner institution.
