De La Salle’s newest school in the world begins classes
We are thrilled to announce that De La Salle-Kigali in Rwanda has reopened its doors for the new school year! As the newest Lasallian school in the world, this institution first welcomed students in September 2022, right in the heart of Rwanda’s capital.
Starting out as a primary and early childhood school, De La Salle-Kigali finished its first academic year with a small group of 45 boys and girls. However, the school has seen rapid and remarkable growth: this year, enrollment has already surged to 302 students, supported by 12 dedicated and highly qualified teachers who are committed to guiding and nurturing their students on their educational journey.
But this is just the beginning! The school is expanding rapidly, with ongoing construction aimed at increasing capacity to welcome up to 1,000 students in the coming years. This ambitious project responds to the growing demand for quality education in an evolving social context.
We are incredibly proud of the progress made so far, and we look forward to continuing to grow alongside our students. Our mission is to provide them with the best educational opportunities, rooted in Lasallian values, to help shape them into responsible citizens who will build Rwanda’s future.
We are 1 strong educational community, 1 La Salle!
