Fratelli Project Maicao: for migrant children and youth
Mirroring the Fratelli Project initiative in Lebanon, a new Fratelli Project has opened its doors in Colombia for Venezuelan refugees.
At “La Pista”, a former airport, now transformed into the largest refugee camp in Colombia, thousands of Venezuelan refugees find shelter.
These people have fled, even on foot, from the extreme poverty of their country, currently struggling with the greatest socio-economic crisis in its history.
Aligned with our project in Lebanon, we have initiated a socio-educational program here for children and youth, ensuring their right to access education. Among the programs at the center, we will place particular emphasis on improving access to education for girls and providing training for young women.
You can support this vital project by contributing to the 1 La Salle Campaign.
The camp lacks essential services, such as clean water and food. To address these challenges, we aim to support the beneficiaries of the “Fratelli Project” with comprehensive assistance. This will not only ensure access to education but also promote social inclusion, food security, and provide psycho-emotional support.
