In the central highlands of Vietnam there is a desperate need for inclusive, high quality secondary education. The construction of Truong Vinh Ky Secondary School is currently underway. The primary objectives of the school are to eliminate the stigma suffered by the local Montagnard population – a minority group that lives in a situation of socio-economic and linguistic marginalization – and to educate students from various other cultural groups. In this way, the school will be a trigger of mentality change to overcome the discrimination suffered by the Montagnard people. Providing students with proper training will allow all the children to continue their studies and achieve title and skills which will provide an opportunity for future employment.
