Water for Haiti

Island of Tortuga, Haiti.

The aim of this project is to provide clean drinking water to 9 villages on the island of Tortuga, the poorest region of Haiti, where a majority of the population lacks access to fresh water and lives in conditions of extreme underdevelopment. A water system will be constructed that will be entrusted to 10 local artisans, trained – in the frame of the project – to collect the water at its source, channeling it to collection and distribution points for various communities on the island. The project will benefit 14,000 people, 55% of whom are woman and children.
